Well I had this theme for a while now and am getting annoyed with all the extra code in here that i cant strip out and the fact that the base theme itself relies on too many images.
I have started to create a new theme, I never done this before so grabbing all the articles I can.
Feel free to take a look at its progress from a blank page upto a working wordpress theme. The test site is a replica of this site, bar it doesnt have some updated content. The test site was a setup by copying my existng database through HeidiSQL and then changing the back-end pointers to the new database.
Its going to be a long job as it seems i am running out of time at the moment!
Sandy hasn’t been out for a proper outing since we had the new kit fitted so I was well up for it. Today we went to Aldermaston “4×4 without a club” site just outside AWE. On this outing I was joined by Dan and Ferg aswell as Em that came in my car. We had a few touch and go moments but we are all ok. Dan had abit of an issue with the rear passenger lights, they came off on abit of a tricky section but soon fixed. There were a couple of roll overs by other there, luckily none that went completely over. I got stuck pretty mad at one point (see below) the problem with pictures is you just cant get the angle i was actually at, Em’s feet were just dangling down! I needed a fair few tugs to get me out (sorry for chassis issues dan, bloody onlookers) and when i was out it seemed my new rock sliders did the job as I would of had no ‘side skirts’ left atall!
Recently I have been working on SpoonderProductions.co.uk. If you have a Honda B, K or H22 Series engine with abit of an old looking valve cover then you can get it refurbished with these guys. The site is hosted with Host100, I must admit I didn’t make the base theme but it’s heavily edited now anyway, I am in the process of moving plugins to hard code into the theme and I’m still stripping out bits we don’t need on the site.
Ever tried to copy a font but when you open the Fonts folder in the Windows directory it cannot be found? Martin, a colleague at work showed me how to get around this.
Go to your registry editor, Start>Run>Regedit
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Fonts
In this subcategory of the registry it will show you all the fonts names next to the actual file name, so now when you got to the Fonts folder you know what font to copy. This also works for custom fonts as sometimes they are called random names like ORT_cub.tff (the original font named was Agfa… so I would have had no chance finding it!)
